Ticonderoga Regulations | Print |

ti.pngIn 2006, Ticonderoga adopted a revised Comprehensive Plan focused on revitalizing the town’s hamlet, supporting tourism efforts and promoting the town’s role as a regional center. With funding through a Quality Communities Grant from the New York State Department of State, the town is now working to revise and modernize its zoning law to implement the goals and policies outlined in the 2006 Plan. Ticonderoga has formed an ad hoc committee to oversee this project, which is expected to be complete in 2010. The committee encourages interested residents, business owners and land owners to stay informed and become involved in the effort to revise the town's land use regulations.

Community Open Houses. The committee is hosting open houses the second Tuesday of each month starting in July and continuing through November. Anyone can drop-in on those dates between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Community Building to learn more about the proposed zoning changes and offer feedback. While each month's open house is focused on a particular area of town, you can stop in whatever date is most convenient. There is no formal program, just an opportunity to talk with those working on the project, become more informed and have your opinions heard. The meeting schedule is posted on the right-hand side of this page.
